Himig Kabataan Cultural Society presents: HIMIG NG TAGUMPAY (“Melody of Victory”) on Sunday, September 6, 2026.

The third annual season-end concert will showcase the depth and breadth of the talents of HKCS’s four groups–HIMIG (choral ensemble), TUGTOG (instrumental ensemble), INDAK (dance crew), and LIKHA (creative team), and their desire to share Filipino culture with the community through music, dance, and visual media.

The Philippine Embassy in Vienna and Himig Kabataan Cultural Society presents Pasalubong: Souvenirs from the Motherland on Monday, July 27th, 2026.

HIMIG, HKCS’s choral ensemble, returns to the international stage in Vienna, Austria, for an evening of Filipino choral music, from traditional kundiman to sacred music and contemporary works.

HIMIG at the 2026 World Peace Choral Festival

It is an honour for Himig Kabataan Cultural Society (HKCS)’s choral division, HIMIG, to be invited to participate in the 15th World Peace Choral Festival (WPCF), which will take place in Vienna, Austria, from 23 to 26 July 2026.

Supported by the Austrian Federal Government, the City of Vienna, the United Nations Headquarters in Vienna, and the world-famous Vienna Boys’ Choir, this prestigious festival brings together choirs from around the world to celebrate music and promote peace.

We offer our prayers for the repose of the souls who have passed, and we extend our deepest condolences to their loved ones. We also pray for the health, healing, and comfort of those who have been injured or traumatized. The Lapu-Lapu Block Party was created to honor Datu Lapu-Lapu and to symbolize cultural harmony in British Columbia. Our choir, composed of second and third generation Filipino-Canadian teens, embrace and share the Filipino culture through music and art. As Filipinos, we stand together, support one another, and mourn together especially through difficult times like this.
